CANAAN IS AN INCUBATOR

Canaan is an incubator for social entrepreneurship. As part of benefits package of working at Canaan, employees in management/administrative positions, after 10 years of experience in the project, can apply for an interest free loan up to $100,000 from the company to start their own social innovation projects to help their communities. The employee would submit a proposal outlining a social need and an entrepreneurship approach to addressing it. The proposal would include a business plan, economic feasibility, and a loan repayment plan.  Canaan will work with its team of employees to prepare them to lead social innovations through entrepreneurship beyond Canaan's own.

The result of the Social Incubator program is that Canaan managers are motivated to think  of their work as a learning process and be innovative in addressing the needs of their communities.  Canaan will be proud to help its managers succeed in their own ventures and innovations.
